Bits and Pieces

-Rumor has it that Clinton is largely abandoning South Carolina, leaving the state today to campaign elsewhere and not returning until the night before the primary. Hm.

-Giuliani's Florida firewall isn't, um, firewalling, confirming the notion that the more he campaigns the worse he does. The rest of the nation is apparently figuring out what NYC has known for years.

-The Packers lost last night, meaning that my local newspapers can abandon their wall-to-wall Packers coverage and get back to their usual wall-to-wall coverage of bowling scores, lottery numbers, and the weather.

-Elsewhere in the world, there's still blatant racism in Jena, a crumbling economy, civil unrest in Kenya and Iraq... Sigh...
